I am also looking for a sick exhaust set-up and I've settled on a FI exhaust. Now I can't decide whether to get HFC's or test pipes. Any advantage to getting the HFCs over test pipes?

No smell, but less power. Unless you are going turbo, I suggest getting HFC's. You will only lose ~5hp compared to testpipes and it won't smell bad.

Test pipes will be deeper and louder, but also RASPIER and it will smell like gas.
