Nismo SRI (fabricated) -vs- OEM ZTube

Based on overall quality of fabricated product and material, between the Nismo Short Ram intake (converted to Short Ram off of CAI pieces detached to shorten full length) and a OEM ZTube intake tube, which would be a better set up to install with a K&N drop in to G35 OEM air filter housing box?

Nismo seems to be some sort of metal kind of material (though magnets don't stick to it and black in color) where the OEM ZTube is plastic/rubber. Which of these aids more with the heat factor under the hood?

Any assumptions on sound tone?

Thanks!!!

put the hard plastic and a metal pipe in the oven then touch them. the hard plastic oem z tube paired with a k&n has been widely said to be the best setup performance wise.
