I would love to achieve the same loudness though and of coarse somewhere around 16hp if not a little more

I'm sick of people saying Megan's products suck. I've had their BBK and their test pipes for coming up on 20k miles now with no problems. They've been beat to hell and its about time to replace the pads, but there is nothing wrong with them. Their cheaper than a lot of other companies stuff, but they work. They're the first test pipe to the market with a flex in them. I wonder why? To prevent cracking, which happens to a lot of test pipe's regardless of who makes them.

Its a competitive market. Cheaper products doesnt always mean cheaper quality. I cant wait to install them! How are you liking yours? Was there a very noticeable difference in sound once you installed them?
I think OCG35's point is that is you are looking for longtube headers you should purchase those ones instead of the megan ones, not whether or not they are long tube, and I agree with him. If these headers are anything like the ones made for B/H series motors, expect warped flanges and exhaust leaks
) - If I were to go long tube, I'd be getting them. The collectors alone stellar - his entire headers are gonna be the best out there. My only reference to shorties was Crawford being the longest shorties (headers short enough for cats, for those other than redlude that don’t seemed to get me)
Yea I like the test pipes, and it did make it sound better. I will be getting a 1 piece downpipe from my turbos to my exhaust soon so I'll have to remove them.

Not of my current fast intentions exhaust, but with my HKS I do.
It sounds a lot better and meaner now IMO. The idle rumbles a lot more than in that video with the HKS.

To anybody interested in these they're available for 325 on hopupracing dot com, cheaper than ebay, I 'm going to get them if they sound good I bet there's some nice performance gains to be seen.
2008 g35
Hey, I really don't mean to hijack your thread, but figured the guy has already made up his mind on getting Megan LT headers, so a side question wouldn't be that disruptive. Basically is the exhaust port patterns on the 2003-2006 cylinder heads of the VQ engine the same exhaust pattern as the 2008 model?
I have a 2008 G35 6MT sport edition and want to get a set of the Megan LT headers, but they're website states it's for 2003-2006 G35s and wondered if anyone knew if they'd fit 2008. I've sent the company multiple emails without any reply.

+1 you would have to ask a technician at the dealership if its the same pattern on the cyl head
People need to stop posting uneducated comments about products that they have never seen or used.
I got off my lazy butt and called Crawford Performance and spoke with a guy that said, indeed the exhuast port patterns are different, so the 03-06 headers won't fit my car. However, for $3,000 he could fab up a custom header. Uhhh... I think NOT!
