To those who have heard FI exhaust in person, how loud is it, I have borla exhaust right now and want to know how much louder FI is than it. I'm thinking about switching it up, what do you think?

 

Since I'm on the 5th exhaust system I'm somewhat of an expert....
Whatever you get will be better than your Borla system in sound and quality.
(that was my third system) I've heard several of our members cars with FI
exhaust and wasn't impressed. (didn't tell them) The system I settled on is
HKS, it has the sound and quality I've alway wanted....not to mention the very cool look!

id say its better than HKS


for me its 2nd to Amuse R1

 

Not sure if its louder or not, but it's pure sex when paired with HFC's or test pipes!!!

 

The FI exhaust is not louder than the HKS but is louder than the Borla.

 

Anything is better than Borla... I love Fast Intentions... the new CF catback is much better than HKS but thats just my opinion

 

FI makes the bigger tips with round mufflers now with out hte carbon fiber. Call Tony at FI, they are running great deals now, i'm expecting mine this week!!!

 

I put mine on last week and I love it. A lot of people on this site say it's quiet, and it is compared to exhausts with hfc or tp, but i thought it was pretty loud in person, and I was concerned it would be too quiet. I still might get HFC though, because my intake kinda drowns it out at high rpm.

 

thanks, so compared to stock exhaust how much louder is it? if not FI which other one has a similar sound.

its louder than stock. ive heard 3 versions of the fi exhaust system, all 3 had rasp.. overall ditch fi and get FI (forced induction)

 

Fast Intentions is one of the the least raspiest exhaust out there for the VQ. And I've heard almost every different kind of exhaust setup/combinations available for the VQ thanks to the huge G-community in SoCal.

F.I + Stock cats: No rasp
F.I + HFC: No Rasp
F.I + Resonated Test Pipes: No rasp in normal driving and just a little at WOT

Any VQ with non-resonated test pipes with obviously rasp with any setup.
