OP - I have run that exact spacer for quite a while... there was a bunch of info posted about it but too many yahoos that have never even bothered to install it created ridiculous drama about it.

View my garage to get an idea of what mods I use... there are many people that have the exact same tbs that have reported good results.

I endorse it - FWIW... and IMO that’s much more valuable than some guy that has never tried the thing telling you it’s not worth it.

I remember Hydrazine didn't like it though. It's up to the OP to make his own decision about it

I did 30+ pulls on Tonys' machine... there was 10hp and I forget how much trq gain for the first 10 pulls... then it dropped - Tony felt the ECU was to account for the gains - I feel the ECU went to granny mode when the gains dropped off... there was some funny business going on with the ECU though because there were gains and drops with and without the spacer… Initially I dismissed it altogether – but once I drove with it on the car I was convinced… and it’s been on the car every since.

Jeff, you know the thread that went on and on with drama about this mod... I have ZERO to gain by giving my real world opinion of it... so take it or leave it – however, its pointless for someone to give an opinion on something they never tried (I don’t give credit to that anyway) – that goes for any mod not just this one (anything in life actually).

OP - I look forward to your review if you get this... Just about everyone that has NOT driven with it says it’s not worth it - and all but 2 (that I know of) that have used it like it.

It’s unfortunate that none of the nay-sayers ever tried it... yet they will always say it’s not worth it.

I’m not opening up another debate about the thing… I wish the topic wouldn’t come up… but when it does, I feel compelled to post my view (since not many that have it bother to say anything since there is so much debate about it).

Its funny that this thread popped up – I recently picked up the same design but with heat sinks and phenolic inserts… its doubtful that either will make a difference in dissipating or controlling heat – but what the hell… I’m waiting for it to be black chrome plated (yes, I know plating is contradictory to the heat sink purpose – but generally heat sinks are used to draw heat away from on object – and plating prevents heat from escaping… since I’m concerned about keeping heat away from the TB an not dissipating heat from it, I didn’t think the plating will make a diff… then again, I don’t the phenolic or heat sinks will either)…

I'll just point the OP to the thread that contains the technical discussion regarding the subject at hand

https://g35driver.com/forums/intake-...ml#post2726996

I'd try one for the hell of it though.

^^^ you know that’s not the drama thread I was referring to... I deleted the dozens and dozens paged thread that I tried to give a review in... it resulted in a complete waste of time.

This might too - so I'm not going to post here any longer... good luck OP - I say go for it! and I really hope you do because I'm certain you will be pleasantly surprised

Mike, I didn't want to bring up a nonsense thread. This one has the comments straight from one of the most respected/objective members here.

But like I said, I'd give one a shot if it was cheap enough to do so.
