I like to open boxes...
Hmm, what has shown up...

Lots of packaging...

Oh, it's a box full of horsepower

It's gonna be a fun weekend.
Thanks Riverside Infiniti for getting it here before the weekend. Now if only you guys would leave some feedback

Nah.. but I'm pretty sure I've seen some of you guys around town. Me and sergdan live over in Oviedo, and I'm pretty sure I've spotted CarribeanBlue in the publix parking lot at Univ and Dean.
I got a debadged IP, with rays oem, clears, and ionic gialla rep grill. Mebbe you seen me?

Yessir, it's the MD MREV2 and their 5/16" iso-thermal spacer.
Old one removed... was cleaner than I expected!

Aaaand new lower plenum on...
Note the fancy yellow bungee cord technique.

All cinched down!

Took her for a little test drive, and noticed the exhaust note (stock) was slightly deeper and growl-y. Acceleration felt a little more responsive from about 2.5k to 6k.
A couple notes about the install:
1) The coolant hose will have a little coolant in it when/if you decide to remove it. It's gonna spill out; I had a little
moment when I thought it was about to dump all the coolant out. It was just an ounce or two.
2) That little rubber funnel/cone around the oil fill cap is a little bastard that likes to get in the way. Wasn't paying attention to it when I was securing the upper plenum down to the spacer/lower and the edge ended up getting ever-so-slightly stuck inbetween the upper and spacer.
Ended up having to loosen everything back up to get it back out. I took it off altogether as punishment for being insolent.
3) After dealing with that stock intake tube, I have a feeling a z-tube purchase is in my very near future.
4) I tried the MD suggestion for clearing ECU, disconnect negative terminal on battery, pump the brakes. This purportedly drains ECU capacitance. It seems to work, on start-up you could hear the A/F recalibrating as it started up a little higher pitched than usual, slowly descended in tone, bounced around a little, and finally settled into a nice idle.
All in all it was a pretty easy install (2-3hrs), and I'm sure if I ever have to do it again, I can probably cut it down to 30mins to an hour. The instructions included were pretty meh, but I ended up hitting the video up at the MD website and it confirmed some answers for me.
Highly reccommended mod, people! Get you one!

I just asked Tony the same question and he says that yes even on the non revup motors it will see gains, so I am ordering it and hopefully will have it installed next weekend.
