350z Nismo Intake Install on G35

I hope you guys can help me out. I been searching for at least 2 hours.

I just installed the Nismo Intake on my car and i cant seem to maneuver the metal piece (sticking out of the tube)to screw it down to my frame. is there a mod i need to do or something or am i just doing it wrong?

you see how that one is long and curved. the one on the nismo is very short and straight. i dont understand why it isnt fitting? what do you guys do to make it work?

AM I MISSING A PIECE? Now that i look at some pictures. it seems like i am missig bracket-like piece?

thanks in advance

Take out the driver side wheel and remove some clips of the wheel fender cover. It'll give you more room to mess with. I got the Nismo intake on as well. You shouldn't be missing anything.
