My first post is an exhaust question

I will be getting my G35 sedan in a week or so and have a question.

My plan was to run 350Z HR y pipe with coupe mid pipe and no muffler.

But then I got to thinking, is it possible to run the 350Z exhaust to run the duals? I don't mind lengthening pipes or adding some hangers. I just don't want to be cutting spare tire well or having to move emissions stuff.

Any input would be awesome! Thanks guys!

What year sedan? That exhaust will definitely not work with any 02-06 sedan unless you mod the hell out of it.

The car will be an 03. I'd like to run the HR y pipe and Z exhaust if it'll fit. Like I said, I don't want to be cutting up the floor of the car or getting in the way of the gas tank/emissions stuff. I can deal with adding piping. I believe I also said I will not be running mufflers, so that'd be one huge clarence issue out of the way.

And I did search and found nothing involving the whole Z exhaust.

Thanks again for the help!

The y pipe is the same, the mid pipe will work, but needs to be extended... the axleback (muffler) will not fit without major modifications to your car. It's not impossible and obviously, it has been done several times before. IMO, not worth the time and effort since there aren't any real gains...

I guess I'm a very big n00b!!!!

I thought the 350Z had a dual split from the y pipe, not just a dual exit muffler.

Thanks for putting up with my newbieness.

Just buy an HKS muffler and coupe/Z mid pipe. Sounds fat, looks stealth.
