Headers or Intake or Both?
Hey guys...Im lookin to add some extra HP to my 05 coupe and im not really sure which direction to go. Long story short my roommate just hooked up his 350z so i gotta beat his ***.
Im lookin to keep it under about 1500 and i already have a borla cat back exhaust. Any suggestions on which driection to go? Headers? y tube pop charger? Intake?

headers won't get you much and they'll run you a lot of $$
intake won't get you anything significant
plenum spacer and mrev2 would be good for like 20-30 whp for under 600

My friend just got a super charger for his 350z so yea hes got me beat by just a little now haha.
so im definatly gonna go for the spacer and mrev 2...are there certain brands that i should look for with these or what?

There's only one company I'd go to for spacer/mrev2 that's MotorDyne, they created solution for Nissans design error. 661-993-5111 That along with a good intake/z-tube you will have maxed out what you can do to improve an NA G35. (bolt ons) Intake, I love my Stillen CAI and Z-Tube combination....

20-30 whp for under $600? LOL your thought process is funny.
+1.
This should be enough to kick a stock 03-06 350z's a$$ if u have 6MT and u aren't a turtle when it comes to shifting.

I'm hoping I read that wrong because intake, z-tube, and spacer/MREV2 does not max out the bolt on potential for this car...

MREV 2 Manifold TM - The undisputed king of bolt on power.
A universal manifold modification for use on any VQ35-DE engine. When used with or without a spacer or aftermarket upper plenum, this lower plenum will make substantial power gains.
Multiple independent test show when used with a 5/16" spacer on the revup engine, the combination will add a "minimum" of 15+ HP and 18+ TQ in the upper midrange. Many independent MREV 2 Manifold REVUP tests have dynod in excess of 20HP and 30 TQ in the upper midrange and with high RPM peak power increased by 3-5 HP.
The MREV2 is a prerequisite to the plenum spacer when used on a revup engine. No other normally aspirated VQ modification provides as much gain as the MREV 2 Manifold!
so woops, maybe 20 hp

MD spacer, Mrev2, z-tube, exhaust, testpipes/hfc, headers, tune and final drive will yield you very good gains and make the car much faster.
