Exhaust questions an Ideas

I've searched and been through the exhaust compilation I just can't seem to find what I am looking for!

I have a dealer locally than can get me most of the following parts.

First off, Magnaflow High flow cats. Good? crap? What size in/out do I need?

I have a few muffler ideas but I am not locked on anything. What size in do I need for the muffler? 2.5?
1. Skunk2 Single canister, not sure if it's available I have to check that out.
2.Borla Catback
3. Magnaflow catback
4. DCsports cat back (it's for a Z I've heard it fits sedans)
5. or should I just find some kind of muffler that is close to straight through with few baffles?
6. HKS I want this but it's 400 USD and I have to get it shipped...

And can someone tell me where the mid pipe is located? i haven't had my car on a lift so I don't know where in line it is. I am guessing right after the cats right? If I plan on going to HFCs and a muffler I'll be putting a coupe mid pipe in there at the same time. Is that going to be too loud/ ugly sounding?

Any suggestions I appreciate! Any thoughts on gains or anything will also be happily accepted.

Thanks.

I believe the mid-pipe is from the y pipe to the muffler if im not mistaken. You should definitely get a HKS exhaust, it sounds WAY better in person too.

Damn, I really need a photo of the under body haha, I'm gonna look for that now.

Is there anyone on here running the HKS with HFCs?

Yea it's a sticky in the sedan forum. I've heard the mid-pipe and HKS in person and it sounds mean as hell. But I haven't heard those two in combination with some high flow cats, that's my goal because the cats will probably give me a small increase in power.

You are correct.

Is the coupe mid-pipe shorter than the stock sedan pipe for 05? I thought I'd read that somewhere.

HKS sounds great, way better than a stock coupe or stock 350z.

Coupe and Sedan middies are the same length. It's the Z middy that's too short and requires an extension. (I think)

HFC = high flow cats

I had Z midpipe, and HKS axleback for a bit. Adding HFCs sounds like midpipe and HKS with stock cats only a bit louder, and just a slight bit more aggressive. Resonated test pipes added a bit of rasp while making it all even louder.

HFCs have been explained in like 4 different threads now.

Test pipes won't pass emissions in Ontario though I don't think?

I might be picking up a stillen gen 2 which would be cool, I'll add HFCs to that for sure.
