What exhaust = louder than stock, but not much? and intake question

I have searched youtube trying to hear exhausts, and while I will revert back to sounds clips, my question is what is an exhaust WITH ZERO DRONE, that is a bit louder than stock, but enhances the stock sound.. (if that makes sense).

I do not want something loud, but something when you get on it, gives a decent roar, but when cruising speed don't really wanna hear it like how the stock one is.

And for an 03-04 G35 coupe 6spd manual.. what is the best intake. I had an injen on my 04 350z.. but would anything be better for an 04 g35? Popcharger with z intake tube, or just an injen or aem? Anything newer thats better? I havent been in the Vq35 world in a couple years... like almost 4..

i find it hard to believe that if you went through youtube videos of several exhausts offered for the g35 and searched the forums AND searched for the "best" intake and that you didn't find ANYTHING

regardless, why don't you just keep your stock exhaust and add a cold air intake, spacer, and high flow cats that way you can get the stock exhaust to be louder than normal stock ones but not THAT much louder.

Well I did do some searching.

I am going for Z-tube + k&n air filter

and going with HFC with the stock exhaust... my question is..

Kinetix HFC, FI HFC, and Stillen HFC...

DO THEY ALL SOUND THE SAME? If not which is loudest, 2nd loudest, etc.

Other question:

Do I do thermo 5/16 spacer with mvrev 2? Or don't bother?

There wont be "much" of a difference in sound between HFC but quality thats a different story.

get the MotorDyne 5/16 spacer, no need for the MERV2

Nismo exhaust or FI/Berk HFC's. Good idea on the drop in filter, z-tube, and spacer.

Running 12s huh? Right...anyway...where are you in jersey?

Second, HFC wise I would personally go FI or Berk. I've heard berk on the stock G exhaust and it actually sounded really good. I never heard the FI, but everything they do is quality

I have the stillen exhaust and am putting on my berk's soon.

IMHO, if you only want a touch louder than stock, then forget the HFCs. Using them with a stock exhaust is probably a waste of money.

About the only thing you could do is maybe a 350Z HR Y and a coupe midpipe. Keep your stock airbox and tubing.
