Exclamation Problem after installing Stillen High-Flow

Hey all, first and foremost I want to let everyone know I HAVE SEARCHED and i think for the simple interest of the collective group, its time we have a REAL answer to this question. [if possible]

I installed a Stillen 'High-Flow' Intake system. Shortly after, while cursing around in 4th/5th gear I threw it in neutral to save on some gas while going downhill. [6mt duhh] After a few seconds I watched as the tach needle shot down below the 500 mark and STALLED ME OUT! I checked the obvious, re-did my entire installed, and immediately came on here where, thus far, you all have helped out so much! [even tho regrettably this is my first post] I just got my car last month so you'll hear more from me! Anyways, after EXTENSIVE searching from multiple people on this site, this is a list of supposed culprits to the problem. Can anybody help me limit my work load?

First and foremost I want to thank you FOR SEARCHING. J/K This is the kind of intelligent first post that all noobs should post, but I know that's not going to happen. However I digress.....

What happened after it stalled out? It sounds like you got it home OK. We need more info!!!

Sorry, I knew i would forget something, hah, it was inevitable as a first post!
Anyway, RPM's drop abnormally low anytime i rev, and have the clutch pushed in [disengaged?]. Only sometimes do I stall..On this occasion I just popped the clutch and she started right back up! Lucky me, but obviously I lost power steering and all that, it was kinda scary TBH. No side effects besides the low rpm's n stalls..Will be doing more research but this is my first call for help

Only time my Stillen CAI caused my car to do this was when I put the car in neutral at over 100mph.

I Cleaned the MAF and haven't had the problem again.

What did you use to clean it, =? if you can remember? And is there a certain procedure to clean it? Sorry to be nit picky, but that's the reason for this post, to avoid this from being asked again! maybe this will be a thread people will reference later for this problem!

I went to the auto parts store and just got MAF cleaner. Be extremely careful with the MAF as the filament is very sensitive. You must remove it from the housing and you need a hex screw to remove it. Off the top of my head I cannot remember what size.

Okay this is something that I must say has been recommended more than most. I will test this out when I have some free time, probably tuesday. However I still would like ANYONE else's input on this as well.

Rubbing alcohol and a q-tip. AND BE GENTLE.

BTW. I never had a problem with my Stillen but I'm auto.

I hate to respond to every post, i'm having trouble sleeping atm, but anyway, Beebo, it is strange because it seems it is a very personal case by case thing!

I have a 2004 G35 Sport+ Premium with 55k on it. What about you my friend? and what other intake/exhaust/performance mods

classic response...well the fact of the matter is it is idling low, and sure maybe i won't stall but its defiantly not normal and should be addressed. If your doors are locked just smash the windshield and jump in! Problem solved, right?

Nope. But I have cleaned my maf a few times. But no, never noticed a real low idle. You might want to consider the TB and/or idle relearn procedures
