I have an AEM coil air intake that sounds nice and I believe increases power by increasing flow and putting in cold air to the engine.

Search here is worthless.

So what should he do?

Search terms: Air intake, Ztube, K&N, Pop Charger

Do you have any idea how much bull**** he would have to wade thru to find something worth reading?

BTW, K&N drop in, Z tube, MREV2 (for us rev up guys), and a MD 5/16" plenum spacer are the best mods (short of the full monty of Headers, Cats/test pipes, and low restriction exhaust OR FI) you can do for power.

Well who taught him how to search properly?

doesnt take a rocket scientist bud. it just takes someone who is willing to try it out and to learn, a bit of time. how do you think most of the people on this people learned how to search? by trying it themselves.

This is supposed to be one of those "teach a man to fish..." things right? Problem is no one taught him. Not all are familar with how to use search effectively. As the normal search function sucks ****

unless this guy is new to the world of the internet and forums this search isnt really different from any of the other forums ive been on. searching something like "which intake" or "best intake" would have inevitably given this guy all the info he needed. and if you choose to keep arguing a point that you know is wrong go ahead but im done.

i agree, there are only a few very very specific search questions/topics that i have had a hard time with where just putting in something like "best intake" or such didnt help.

OK, the new guy come here and wants to know about "ebay intakes" "K&N filters", "Z tubes" and "Pop Chargers".

So he clicks on "search" and enters: ebay intake

https://g35driver.com/forums/search....archid=7533457

Now you tell me how he is gonna find what he wants without spending Hours and Hours reading crap not related to his quest.

Next: K&N filter

https://g35driver.com/forums/search....archid=7533500

The first friggin thread is the "May useless thread" How perfect.

Now Z tube:

https://g35driver.com/forums/search....archid=7533511

Wow.... The first thread is THIS ONE....

Pop Charger:

https://g35driver.com/forums/search....archid=7533529

Again THIS THREAD.

Now tell me how a new guy is going to NOT be frustrated at that kind of BS?

I have been here four years and I still don't use the search. It has only worked for me a couple of time and even then I had to dig through a lot of superfulious BS to find what I needed.

How about someone that thinks they know how to use the search function do a little DYI on it?

well it also helps if you are smart in searching, if you want to search for the best intake you might not find those exact words so the best thing to do is just bite the bullet and search manually through the forums. Tedious? yes, but it's all helpful in the end.

Texas bear in mind that by the users saying "search" it does not necessarily mean to use the search button but rather manually search like many people do.

Sorry, I maybe I should have been more clear. I should have said he would lose around 5-10hp on a hot day. That is a big loss imo.

If you don't have the rev-up engine you can get the rev-up airbox with the bigger inlet. It will help with flow and sound a little.
