350Z Nismo Exhaust Extension Question

Does anyone have the specs on the actual length of the extension pipe to fit the nismo exhaust on the car?

Also,is it 3'' piping or 2 1/2''??
I found the nismo exhaust locally, but im only going to get it if i can get an exhaust shop to fab up the extension.
If anyone knows,id greatly appreciate it,thanks

It's 3" piping and must be 8" long minimum. Make sure the shop gets the flange adapter surfaces parallel too.

8" long

Just for the record, the extension isn't made by Nismo. It's made by Top Speed. I would get piping made to match your Y-pipe and exhaust instead of just 3" b/c I don't think the Nismo is 3".

Ok,thanks for the info guys.
Yea i would like to have the piping made, because all the exhaust shops around here would just hack up the cat-back to weld it on and i dont want that.
So if i get a 3'' dia. piping,8'' long, with 2 matching 2-bolt flanges then it will bolt up correct?
Is this extension just going in between the nismo exhaust,or does it mate up to the factory catback?
Also,if i do this the tips will be sticking out far enough,or will they need to be extended?

Did a test fit of the exhaust on the car,it needs 8 1/4'' extension in between the two pipes to bolt up.So hopefully i will be getting that done today and get this thing finished, the tips definitely dont come out as far as the stock exhaust but its not too bad, they only need to come out another 2'' or so.

^^yes, anything shorter than 8" and the first bend on the midpipe will rub against the crossmember.....very annoying. I didn't extend my tips and I think it looks fine. There's pics in my garage if you want to see.

Got the stainless pipe made yesterday and threw the exhaust on the car.
The tips could be extended about 2 inches or so,but it actually doesnt look that bad at all in my opinion. The sound is soo nice i like it,just wish it was a little louder. But overall, great purchase, would def. recommend it.

Ive bought the nismo off of g35police a great member here and you could see in the 4sale link, he already had done the extension on the tips. The tips sit perfectly about 1/2" past the valence. He really took his time getting this done.

Yea,im still debating, not a huge issue to me.Im guessin if i throw some test pipes on it will make it alot more aggressive sounding,so it might happen soon.

Anyone know whether the TS piece is the correct length/diameter to adapt a 350z midpipe to a G35 sedan? Seems like about the right length but I don't have a coupe and 350 middy to measure and determine the difference in length.

Unfortunately I already had a muffler shop do the hack-and-extend thing for my sedan, so I'm set but doing a little research for another member.
