i got spacers and ztube and kn filter.

has anyone seen any NEGATIVE effect from thier mods in general (more towwards spaceers since deep internal egine stuff)

Ex. pinging, scary bad noises, etc.

help is appreciated, i want to know if its worth vioding my warrenty.
is the 10-15 hp gains worth the chance. or am i just worrying a bit to much, lemme know. help me out please.

i dont want problems in 2 monthes and end up at a shop pissed off.

if youve had your mods (agian more towaesds the spacers) for more than 6-8 monthes let me know if about any at all problems that can even be slightly remotly close relation to it, if any.

A spacer won't void your warranty. If you start replacing engine components like cams, rods, valves, etc. you may lose part of your warranty. But the standard stuff we do around here won't void anything. The burden of proof is on the dealership. Per the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, they have to prove that your modification is what caused the item in question to fail before they can void part or all of your warranty. I've had my spacer/Z-Tube installed for 3+ months and haven't had any problems. I doubt anyone has.

BTW, what ever happened with your spacer install problem? You never updated the thread.

 

I agree with Buckeye completely. If your having a problem with your spacer, my guess is that it is related to your install. Update??

And DJ, please use spell check. I am no way the grammar or spelling police, but when I can't even understand what word you are trying to use, ex. 'towaesds', it hurts my brain.

Not trying to bash, just trying to enjoy your questions and info.

 

unless you have the money to sink into a brand new engine, 10-15(ESTIMATED)HP is NEVER worth the risk, imho... however as previously stated, if installed correctly, you shouldn't have anything to worry about... also, "pinging and scary bad noises" is really non descriptive. if you could localize the area of the noise and the tone, etc, that would really help to diag the potential problem.

 

With so many spacers sold and working perfectly I would bet it's an install issue.
