Coupoe exhaust: remove cats and pre muffler.

Coupoe exhaust: remove cats and pre muffler.
has anyone run a g35 coupe without cats or without cats and the pre muffler? I would appreciate any comments on the sound and tone if someone has experience. This car is not in an air tested neighbourhood so running without cats is not a problem there and it is driven so little that emissions increase would be nominal.
Have a good one,

RamboRani,
Thanks for showing me the posts on this subject. I have yet to get a clear description of how it sounds though. Loud isnt cool anymore but a deep sporty tone under heavy throttle is nice sometimes when you are in the mood. It might be worth a shot to remove cats first then try before doing muffller and cats together. I will have a look underneath at the shop and decide I guess.

Re: Coupoe exhaust: remove cats and pre muffler.
sorry Ted, but I think their might be a little truth in my joke.
It has this raspy noise. The muffler sounds deeper with the cats on. Without the cat's it is loud, but not the tone you listed.
Get the CAI, I can't honestly tell you it adds HP, but the car does sound nice. At high RPM the engine has this deep bark, sounds really cool. If I was in another car and a G35 with CAI went by at high rpm's I would be scared.

Ovayahead,
Cai? I cant recall who makes that. One thing interesting to those looking at BB exhaust. Look to fabspeed motorsport site then 996 porsche exhaust, then look into the opened up BB and see the pathetic mess inside it. The flow is pinched down through a 3/4 inch hole in the BB muffler. I was shocked, those interested should have a look at the fabspeed site, you may think twice about their so called performance muffler. I have bought fabspeed for a 996 in the past and it sounds awesome, killer in fact, deep and throaty under load and heavy throttle.
We should approach them to build muflers for g35's. just a thought...
