surge power chip or intake

hey forum,
im looking for a liitle bit more go for my 04 g. has anyone heard bad things about the surge power chip? is it worth it or should i just go with an intake of some sort? personnally id prefer an intake but i know lots of you got mods out of this world so plz help me out!

Welcome to driver....=)

Power chips and Intakes have little or no effect on HP especially bone stock. Since you have an '04 the best bang for your buck is a MotorDyne 5/16" spacer, that particular size will allow you to keep your OEM engine cover. After the spacer's on now you can add the intake/z-tube and exhaust for more HP. Any thing like power chips should be installed when you get a "tune" after all the other mods have been installed!

thx gary im new wit the g's i had a 5th gen celica gts before so i stepped up. where would i order that 5/16 spacer? i c u got yours in top condition bro. trym to catch up help me out. first thing i gotta resolve is my camber problem thikn bout some wicked camber arm kit how much for the spacer ballpark

Riverside infiniti has better prices tho; look em up on ebay. I paid 220 for the iso-thermal I think... easy DIY too.

Alignment issues, is your G lowered? If not a 4 wheel alignment should handle your is alignment problems. MotorDyne spacer....Tony and company are 2 miles from my front door 661-993-5111. Their 5/16" spacer comes with everything you'll need to install incl. specific instructions....you will need a torq wrench.

does the 5/16 plenum spacer give you more engine sound?

Yes. More power = more engine sound
