i just got my X02 installed today, but i have test pipes on and its LOUD AS HELL. Too loud for my taste. all i hear in the cabin is bawwwwwwwwwwwwwwww bawwwwwwwww. My ears actually ring, im not kidding. Im having my stock cats put back in tomorrow to see how it will sound cause right now, i dont even wanna drive lol.

I've done a lot of research on this particular exhaust mostly because personally I'm not willing to spend 1k+ on a sound mod but...
I've heard this is just like the HKS meaning the exhaust note is mellow until you go WOT, true?
Is there any drone?
In your opinion is it deeper or just louder than OEM (or both)?
I'm really looking for an exhaust that has some meaness without the constant rasp & drone, if that's possible
I know my best bet will be to go to meets but I never can find the time.

No drone.
Its way louder than OEM.
You will almost always feel a little low end torque loss with any intake or exhaust. You will make up for it in the top end of the revs.

couldn't you weld the tips on and then not have the screws or anything? I believe i have heard of people's HKS tips getting stolen and i think they are about $200 so having them welded on could get rid of the screws and prevent theft.

i guess its up to your taste, but personally it was too loud. i actually took a sound clip before i switched my test pipes out back to stock cats. let me look for it
