Im getting 2 codes P1273 and P1283. this means that both of my o2 sensors are shot. Im probably just gonna go to a junkyard and get some cheap sensors because i know that ill be changing sensors every so often anyways.
Sorry dont know the part number

Does anyone have the part number for this oxygen sensor so I could try to order it online? I know the part alone is $250 from the dealership, and I'd rather try to find it cheaper on the interwebz. Thanks!

why would you "be changing sensors every so often"?...

I have headers too... I've had them longer than his.... and I'm pretty sure mine get hotter - I don’t "periodically replace" bank 1 O2 sensors

I probably just jinxed myslef

P1283- p1273

dear friend,

i have a infiniti fx 35 awd 2004, the OBD2 system start show me the check engine line, when i connected the scanner and retrieve the code, i get first the p1273, when i access to motor all data , says is regarding O2 sensor bench1,

so a follow the procedure,

check air leaks,
-exhaust leaks,
-pin test on the harness
-power supply test
-open and short cable
-fuse line
-even changing the o2 sensor for a brand new.

getting worst that 2 weeks later i'm getting the P1283, the same code but on bench 2.

NOT RESULT. if i read the FUEL TRIMS (SLOW AND FAST) the SLOW VALUE always stay on 0%, and in the FAST value is keep changing between 3.0%+ to -3.1%. which is normal. i guess is the slow fuel trims is not fluttering and that's why is getting the code.

did you solve the problem? if you does, how you do that. i'm tired with that ****.

Found a fix

Hey guys. I have Kinetix HFC's in my 05 X sedan. A while ago, I swapped my plugs for Iridium. They didn't work and all misfired. I put the originals back in, but swapped 4 and 6's coil wire by mistake, and drove it for a couple of miles. I realized what was wrong when I got home and fixed the wire, but the damage was done to my cat. converter. I bought the kinetix hfc, and a month later, my P0420 comes on. Shortly after, I got 0420 and P1283. I bought new oem plugs, new rear o2 sensors and a new upsream o2 sensor. I also bought a new intake elbow that goes right after the throttle body, my old one had tears in it. After that, I checked my spark plugs. #6 (closest to the driver, on the drivers side) was loose. I tightened that up, then I checked my PCV valve. The valve was just replaced about a month ago, so I knew it wasn't the valve. But I heard hissing from it. I took off the PCV hose that connects the PCV to the plenum and inspected it. It ha small tears in it. I bought a new PCV hose from pep boys (Was 10$) and cut it to size. Ever since then, I haven't had a code.

Obviously really late response, but I literally just FINALLY (after 2 years and thousands on parts and having Infiniti + various other mechanics try to find out the issue) figured out why P1283 wouldn’t go away and I’ve changed every o2 sensor and every a/f senors on the car.... Anyway I’ve been reading the threads on since I got my 04 G sedan 2 1/2 years ago with 170k, now it has 212k ... yesterday I randomly found an article that said to reset the ECU (I’ve done this only the battery way and the pedal dance) I was totally unaware the ECU has two fuses, take both of them out for 10 min and put them back in and ECU is completely reset. I thought I’d give it a shot instead of paying Infiniti $700 to fix it... I took both fuses out, BOTH FUSES WERE SHOT!!
I swapped them out and problem solved.. been over 100miles and still no CEL, and not to mention my MPG has literally doubled. I was just about to drive my G off a cliff too!
