Benefits of Porting/Polishing Throttle Body?
Benefits of Porting/Polishing Throttle Body?
OK, so I've searched this forum multiple times without success in finding much data on the following:
Is there benefit to porting our throttle bodies? I have heard they are extremely sensitive and can get knocked out of whack fairly easily, so maybe theres too much risk to justify any gains?
Has anyone done this, found gains, and not messed up idle or engine performance/calibration?

I know one guy who did it... he ended up replacing his throttlebody as a result. $700
You really gotta know how to avoid damaging it and even then, it doesn't do anything.

j/k I agree. No gains.
+1 ^
No Gains, if I'm correct the only way to gain anything from a mod like this would be to buy a larger TB which I don't believe anyone even makes for the G. The high price would most likely make it pointless for any gain you would see...
