pop charger question

I am very confused about a couple of things.. first i was wondering when you get a JWT pop charger, does that mean you dont need the stock air filter anymore?? ? and is the pop charger ok to use in the winter?

this replaces your stock airbox and filter. It's fine to use in the winter
