EBay Exhaust.

I don't know if anyone is fimilair with any of the exhaust systems being sold on ebay...

They are from prices ranging from $350-$480.
They have the burnt blue tips, are they any good and do they have decent sound?

What would be the downside to purchasing one?

dont buy any exhaust off ebay..i know from personal experience from past vehicles that the burt tips wears off and the exhaust will tarnish and sound horrible...youre better off buying used from another member in the classifieds

read the x02 thread down the page. many, including myself, have bought the x02 exhausts (various variations of it) and there are plenty of reviews and sound clips.

despite some install problems and the initial sound and smell of break in, I am very satisfied with my purchase

No, guess its because I more into motorcycles.
I like riding those, and my G35 will never compare to others that are heavily modified and look good.

Mine just has wheels/tints and hopelly and exhaust in the future.

All the used ones Ive been looking at in the classifieds have the people want the same price as ones that are brand new.

all I have to say is..when it comes to performance, stay away from EBAY.

Top Performance = quality
Ebay does NOT equal quality

lol stop trying to talk the quality parts and ebay fight if you havent had an x02.

ask any idiot and you will find out that you aren't going to gain much power from any exhaust n/a. so it doesnt really matter what you get. oh sure you can drop 3k on an exhaust and get one that is more shiny maybe and possible gives you like 2hp more than the cheaper ones, and if that is what you want to do go right ahead.

but dont go spreading your blanket statements when they arent correct in all applications

Exhausts aren't rocket science. I would never get a chinese ( ebay ) turbo but I WOULD get an exhaust in a heart beat. I've done so before in other cars and they were great!

That's not true. A GOOD stainless steel exhaust will never EVER rust ( I'm talkng about quality stainless steel ). And if you live in a place where they use a lot of road salt then I would stay away from ebay exhausts.

I live in a tropical island where we never get snow to begin with so road salt is not an issue and I don't live near the coast so I don't have to worry much about rust. So ebay it is.
