HFCs what's the difference?

I see that FI (used to) and Berk use magnaflow cats in their HFCs, so what's the difference between paying $300-500 for their cats when I can get the magnaflow cats for ~$120 and have an exhaust shop cut and weld these in? will there be a ton of rasp, throw a CEL, or what?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Magna...Q5fAccessories

Just and honest question

1st you would need 2 So your at $240 already. Then the exhaust shop parts...maybe another hundred or so and then labor, so you around $400 total cost maybe. Might as well just buy the FI or berk cats and not have to deal with anything but install...which is easy.

I asked the same question when I was deciding between FI and Berk's. I went with Berk's because they are the same thing and could get it for $120 less than FI.

first of all, if you had clicked the link (although I think those are the wrong size, but there were other sizes) they are $65 a pop so it would be $130. and I'd say $40-50 for the exhaust shop so I'd still be saving a huge chunk of change going this route. I want to know the difference between these and the ones Berk and FI make rather than what I should do

I don't want test pipes b/c they smell and won't pass smog (idk if these would but test pipes do smell)

Are you planning on going forced induction or just heavy modding for N/A with tune plans?
