Cool PROS/CONS of MD 1/2" spacer vs 5/16" spacer

Looking to get a Motordyne spacer for my first engine mod for my coupe!

Has anyone had experience with both, or does anyone have comparison of the two for gains? Looking at the site I see the 1/2" is about a 2hp comparison with a louder roar, but does anyone have anymore experience with actualy Dynos to show actual #'s?

thanks guys!

As the reply from the other thread said, go to their site and examine their dyno charts. It's not going to get any better/non-partisan than that.

i went to the site but don't see a dyno for the 1/2" which is why i posted. They only have a dyno of the mrev2 with and without the 5/16 spacer.

It's on the first dyno sheet in the dyno section. Look harder

Your right..peeerfect chart.
SOOO, any preference between the two? Seems the 1/2" would only be beneficial in torque gains. The HP kind of even one another out through shift points.

??

I suggest taking a look at the delta change graphs. Or the graph where the red line = stock and is flat. And the rest of the chart shows the delta hp/trq changes though the rpm range.

Never thought about if I wanted a strut bar I'd need to stick to the 5/16 as well. Hmmm

No, not unless its a strut bar that goes in front of the plenum assembly.

You can use the 1/2" with a strut bar. I have the NRG bar. Several options will work with the 1/2" bar but coupe engine cover won't work with the 1/2".

^^^^ I was able to install the 1/2" spacer on my coupe and keep the engine cover on, no problem. i do not have a strut bar though.
