No need to edit anything it's all good. The Cf grille would have needed a mold made, my mold costs are probably higher then IvoryGTs. No harm no foul.

big mike's CLS grill is one of the cleanest carbon pieces ever... if it came from a mold that wouldn't surprise me.

you get what you pay for... hand wrapped pieces are all unique... with a mold you get absolute repeatability perfection

Chroming steel is easy, it's magnetic. Cheaper then chroming aluminum. There are some very very good chrome places in Texas. EPA rules are different state to state and county to county. Chrome in California is a little more costly and is probably not as great as it could be.

you need to find a local chrome shop.. a lot of shops send parts out to be chromed but it is most cost effective to do a little research and find the place that actually dips the parts. I'd start at a wheel shop or possibly a harley-chopper shop. whatever ya got out it TX

Well I picked up my intake kit from Marty yesterday, and installed it today. Here's how it went....

Laid out separate on my bed:

Laid out together on my bed:

MAF port (MAF housing bolted right up to it perfectly):

Hose port (slipped right on with a little strength):

Dirty engine bay w/stillen z-tube + K&N filter, before intake:

Us folks with grounding kits might run into this problem as I did. As you can see, my SxExCx grounding kit was already taking up this spot, and the bolt was too short to fit the wires with the intake. Luckily, the bolt that holds the stock air box is the exact same, but longer with a bigger washer, so I just used that.

Dirty engine bay after intake. I put the cover back on because I don't have anything else polished.....yet . More polished goodies to come after my tune next week. I also ended up putting the stock air duct thing that goes in the front for now (not pictured), I didn't see any harm in having more air directed to the filter....

Rookie, the security torx for the MAF sensor ended up being T20 for a perfect fit. Also, the torx has to have the small hole in the middle for it to fit.

The installation wasn't very difficult and I immediately noticed a nice whistle coming from the intake when I accelerate . Also it might just be in my head, but it does feel like more air is coming in now and my car seems to pull harder than before.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with this polished, clean looking intake . Thanks to Viet and Marty for answering all my questions . And sorry for the really long post, lol.

Cool! I plan to provide a torx with the kits so taking the maf sensor out is a diy thing.
