True Dual install vs. y pipe install...
I am starting to lean towards the Borla true dual exhaust instead of the Fuji. A- because I've heard good things about Borla and B- it's a hell of a lot cheaper.
My question is about the install. Does a true dual install require any modifications or is it a bolt on like the Y pipe style exhausts? And if anyone wants to share some more Borla experiences, that's cool too.

Re: True Dual install vs. y pipe install...
The borla had great hp numbers on the dyno, BUT! it only did those numbers in a small portion of the power band, like the last 1000rpms and it made next to no torque. While the Fuji won't make the peak numbers as high as the borla, it will make power over a much better rpm range and it will make torque. The only way you'll out do it, would be with the Stillen TD.
True duals do just bolt up to the cats.
Borla = 8.2 Hp - 2.7 ft/lbs torque (peak values)
HP increase from 5500 rpm to 6500 rpm range. Lost HP & torque below 1800 rpm. 60mm pipe.
Nismo = 6.3 Hp - 4.5 ft/lbs torque (peak values)
Developed torque and Hp over wide rpm range. Torque increase starting at 3000 rpm. Most HP increase from 4800 rpm to redline. No power losses below 1800 rpm
Fuji makes the Nismo exhaust, the coupe system differ's from the Z system above in that it use's slightly narrower piping, 70mm vs the Z's 76.3mm.
Just for fun.
Stillen = 8.1 Hp - 7.3 ft/lbs torque (peak values)
Hp and torque increase starting around 3000 rpm to redline. Lost a little Hp & torque below 1800 rpm.

Re: True Dual install vs. y pipe install...
I'd like to go with the Fujitsubo, but I don't know if I can justify the cost and I hear that the fitment on the Nismo is a little off. I love low end torque though... Can't seem to make up my mind.

Re: True Dual install vs. y pipe install...
Well I waffled again and went ahead and reordered my Fuji Y pipe. I'll try it for a bit and if I think that I need more I'll order the rest of the Fuji exhaust later on.
