Ok on my 2nd pair of Stillen HCFs , if you remember the 1st set blew out after 3 months of daily driving, (and when they blow they blow big).... the center of the metal core pushes out of the cat, through the stillen gen 2exhaust, and lodges in the muffler, one of the problems is that process takes time, a couple of days, and in that couple days i gotta roll around sounding like some sort of broken MIG fighter, the 2nd problem is that you cant access the plug in the muffler, you gotta cut off one of the exhaust tips, pull out the plug with channel locks, weld the tip back on, & put the stock cats back on, 120.00$

The 1st set that blew out Stillen took 5 months to replace, (they said it was my car that was the problem) then it was a bad batch of materials.finally they gave me the pair that i have now , and wat do ya know 6 months later ...... they blew today , same exact thing , cat core in the stillen gen 2 muffler and at the same time a hanger on the stillen gen 2 exhaust blew out a quarter size hole. Sorry to hear about your troubles, I'd be pissed. Honestly you're the better man for even giving their HFC's another go after the first incident!! Go with Fast Intentions or Berk next time. Stillen puts out a lot of crap for our cars...seems like only their sway bars are any good.

 

Glad to see someone finally stepping up to give the Stillen HFC a try... but sorry to see you have so much trouble with them.

It's clear they haven't done any better with this version than the RT they used to sell... I was certain they would make sure to have it right this time around. What a disappointment.

FWIW, I've had Crawford for quite a while (couple years I think) and have been happy (*knock wood*) - good luck, I hope things ultimately work out for you.
