Motordyne XYZ on AWD Sedan

I've heard rumors that the Motordyne XYZ will fit AWD sedans from 2003 up until some point in 2004 production. I drive an '04, so I'm trying to figure out which side of the fence I fall on.

Does anyone have any pictures of a 2004 X with XYZ installed, or more information about when this "production change" occurred?

I think you're going to have to look at pics of before/after installs on other Gs to determine if the collector of the XYZ is far back enough to clear the AWD transfercase.

I don't know the specifics but Tony has not published dyno gains of his XYZ vs the HR "style" Y pipe(since the last time I asked him). You have this "style" of Y pipe already. Whether or not your's is EXACTLY the same as the HR Y from the HR powered Gs/Zs is still a bit unclear to me.

Point being although Tony makes a great Y for the non-HR Y piped equipped crowd, I'm not sure about how cost effective of gain this mod would in your AWD application

I'm inclined to agree completely here. I think the main reason I've been looking at the XYZ is 1) having 3in Motordyne exhaust from cats back (already have VQ y-back) and 2) difficulty in finding readily available HR parts (and good condition parts in the North at that).

Also, there are a few more features available with the XYZ than HR Y, but again whether the gains/sounds are worth it in the long run is as yet undefined.
