Installed my Injen Intake Today with pics

Hi guys, today i didnt have school nore work and i though to my self what can i do today, and i decided to go out and buy an Injen Intake and install it too :-)
Now i didnt want to remove my front bumper so the only part i took a short cut on was trying to make the Air Filter fit down into the air duct, but i got it in there with minamal damage to the air filter, but the real reason on why im posting what I did today is my first test drive with the intake, i floored my Auto Coupe off the line and i got wheel spin ( i used to not be able to get wheel spin) i was very excited. Here are pics , oh and also it doesnt make the car sound ricey until your about about 4.5grand

where is the intake sucking air from, the grill bumper area or does it get it from the wheel well?

Will the car have more gains if you reset the ECU? Won't it learn over time anyways without resetting the ECU? It will learn the power curve as it cycles itself.

Re: Installed my Injen Intake Today with pics

Question. Do you hear a tapping at all. I have had mine installed for about a week and I notice that when the car is in drive and I am stopped I hear a very low quick tapping sound, but when I hit the gas it goes away and when the car is totally warmed up it goes away. Let me know if you notice it at all. I think it is just because there a somewhat of a tight fit in there it may be tapping something nearby until the motor warms up and doesn't idle that hard.

Hey DallyCurtis

Do you just unplug the -ve on the battery and it will reset right? How long do I have to wait?

Put the windows down...
unplug the positive side and hold the brake pedal down for a few minutes
OR leave it for a while .. no more than a half hour should do the trick.

Re: Installed my Injen Intake Today with pics

Whoa.. sounds like a safety risk to me. You should always unplug the negative terminal first. The cars run on negative ground, so the body and frame are connected to the negative terminal. If you get out your handy metal socket wrench, attach it to the positive terminal, and twist far enough to contact some metal.. you'll get a nice jolt and spark display. If you're twisting on the negative terminal, nothing happens if you brush something.

Remove negative first -- attach positive first. Unless you have one of the rare antiques that actually has a positive ground system.
