Question Throttle Body Question

I have been a member for a while now, but this is my first post. I usually have good luck searching for info on here and haven’t had a reason to create a new topic until now. I purchased my 2003 G35 Sedan about 3 years ago. It has been a very good car with only a couple of minor issues.

About 10 months to a year ago my MIL came on. I pulled the codes and got 1121. First I tried just resetting the code and it would come back on each time I drove it. After some online research I narrowed it down to the throttle body. I removed the TB, cleaned it up (wasn’t really that dirty), reinstalled it, then did the relearning procedure and reset the MIL. The MIL stayed off and I assumed this did the trick. Well this past Sunday I changed my oil and went for a drive and the MIL came back on, same code. I reset it and it stayed off until this morning, so I guess I need to go ahead and replace the TB. My question is, are there any upgrades available to replace the stock TB? Or should I just get another stocker? I believe I saw a stock one on here for sale the other day.

Thanks in advance!

Mine went out and luckily it was covered under warranty. Getting a new one should fix the problem.

When I was leaving work earlier, I started up my car and the MIL was on along with the VDC off and SLIP lights! I pressed the accelerator and it would not function. So I turned off the car restarted it and now only the MIL was on and the accelerator was working. Then I decided to pull the code and it was only the 1121.

I realize that replacing the TB will prob fix the 1121 issue, but I figured since I'm replacing it anyway then if there is an aftermarket upgrade out there then why not.

there is no after market tb... if replacement is needed, just order another from dealer.... most (including me) would recommend starting with Riverside Infiniti for best pricing and availability.
