I am debating between These Two.. Which one is close to stock sound? and which one gives better performance?

Re: Fujitsubo VS Stillen Exhaust

I think Fujitsubo is louder.
As for performance, the Stillen exhaust dynos more power and torque than any other system.

Congratulations! You have just won 1 million punches in the face!

Re: Fujitsubo VS Stillen Exhaust

PM me if you want me to email dyno videos of Fuji exhaust and Y-pipe on coupe versus Stillen on sedan. Stillen was a tad quieter and deeper than Fuji, which sounded a tad raspy low and screamed up top. For dyno numbers and mods refer to NorCal section.

That's very interesting feedback.

The Fujitsubo exhuast is most definitely quieter than the Stillen ... and this goes for both the Coupe and more so for the Sedan.

Also, I'm assuming you're mostly interested in the noise level from within in the cabin, correct?

Re: Fujitsubo VS Stillen Exhaust

My opinions are based on standing outside the car.

Clint,

Maybe stillen that you've heard didn't break in yet. Barry (gokart) commented on how much quieter his stillen became after 500 miles.

Ok, that makes more sense. From the outside, it's much harder to tell which is louder.

It's also much easier to tell when you're driving w. the engine loaded down.

Is STillen exhaust system that loud? or is it almost same as stock? So when u hear the sound inside of your car, is it kinda annoying?

Re: Fujitsubo VS Stillen Exhaust

My Stillen was fairly annoying from the inside for a little over 1000 miles, which is much longer than most people are reporting. Now it's much quieter, but still a good bit noisier than a stock exhaust. I haven't had a negative comment from any passenger or neighbor since it broke in.

To put that in perspective, I very nearly put the stock system back on a week after installing the Stillen. I'm very glad I gave it more time.

Re: Fujitsubo VS Stillen Exhaust

I have a Stillen sedan exhaust for sale in the Classifieds. It wasn't too loud (altough the combination of that exhaust and all of my other mods did make for a louder car). I'm selling not because of noise but because I need a BIE (big-***-exhaust) for when I boost to 14psi.

To the guys who Stillen exhausts:
Does your exhaust sound anything like the B&B exhaust?:

I know the Fuji exhaust sounds practically the same as stock.

Re: Fujitsubo VS Stillen Exhaust

I can't really give you an opinion on relative noise level since I've never heard mine rev from the outside. The B&B seemed more quiet than I'd expect mine to be at the back, but I get the impression that the B&B would sound a lot louder in person than it appears in the video.

That said, I think the Stillen is much deeper and I've never heard any of that gurgling the B&B seems to have.

That's a shame. I think the B&B exhaust sounds amazing because of the gurgling sound. So the Stillen is basically just a deeper stock sound? I know a lot of people will shoot me for suggesting this, but sometimes the stock exhaust sound reminds me of a Honda (but a deeper tone). The gurgling is what would make the car stand out and announce that it's got at least 6 cylinders.

Re: Fujitsubo VS Stillen Exhaust

I just put the Fuji on mine the other day. I am as happy as can be with the sound. It's deep but not obnoxiously loud. I'm even learning to like the tips.

Z tube, K&N drop in.
Fujitsubo Catback
