Stillen Catback Exhaust and CAI
Stillen Catback Exhaust and CAI
Hey guys, need your feedback. I will be installing a Stillen CAI and Full true dual Catback Exhaust system on my 2003 G35 Coupe 6MT, do you think I will be able to achieve 300HP at the crank with the following mods:
Z-tube, Stillen CAI and Exhaust?
A guy from Cali had his G35 Coupe 6MT Dynoed and he sent me a pic of his 3 runs, he has the Stillen Exhaust and an Injen CAI only, the car has 5,200 miles. He had 3 runs and they were all pretty close, his best run (3rd one) had 243.4 Max Torque and 251.7 Max HP at the wheels of course. What's the average % loss 18% or 20%?, at the crank that would mean he's pretty damn close to the 300HP mark, will my configuration above get me there?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Stillen Catback Exhaust and CAI
The only way you'll know for sure is to pull the engine and use a LAB water brake engine dyno. DynoJet chassis dynos are way optimistic.
The usual correction factor for a 6MT is 15-16%.......the 5AT is more like 20-22% depending on the dyno and tires.
