Lightbulb how to get stock exhaust note louder?

I have a question im about to purchase a 04 g35 and i love the way they sound but i want it a bit louder but not fart can status. ive done some searching and came across a few people who said remove the mid pipe and put a CAI but i also came across a few people who said run a straight pipe to the mid pipe (muffler delete). any ideas what would be the way to go thx

While we're on the subject, where's the easiest place to get a coupe midpipe?

in the marketplace...

the best way to increase the stock sound is to add HFC or to gut the rear portion of the cat material

Adding the coupe MP gives the sedan a growl a little more like the coupe

Make sure to get new gaskets when you install the coupe MP, I didn't and it leaks.

^one for the flange on either end of the mid-pipe. Prob best and easiest to get them from a dealership (nissan or infiniti)

^ +1. the two gaskets cost $12 new from the dealer when i threw on my coupe middy. you can reuse the old ones, but for $12 why not throw on new ones?

07/08 350Z HR y-pipe and 05/06 sedan midpipe. Use the coupe midpipe if you like a little more rasp and drone. I've had both and found that the 05/06 sedan midpipe has a deeper and cleaner tone with absolutely no drone. The HR y-pipe only increase the sexy sound.

30% throttle - 05/06 midpipe (HR y-pipe not installed yet)

30% throttle - 05/06 midpipe and HR y-pipe (cold pipes)
