So I just took my K&N Drop-In out to clean it and noticed I have the Revup airbox with the big funnel/venturi looking deal! Catch is that I have a 2005 6MT! I'm the second owner and was just wondering if the only way this little guy could've made it on my car was if someone knew what they were doing and bought it(highly unlikely because I'm pretty sure the first owner was a housewife, ahem, no offense of course ) or if by some weird flaw, Nissan/Infiniti started putting this airbox on the later 05's, as I know mine is a later '05. SO point is here that '05 owners, before you order that Revup box, take a peak under the hood!!!!

05+ 6MT's have the Rev-Up engine so that would make sense.

Btw do you like your K&N drop in? I have a JWT Popcharger laying around and was debating whether to put that on or use a K&N.

 

From what I've heard, the '05 6mt W/ the Revup did NOT have this particular box, only the +06 Revups but, hey I'm not complaining!!! And to answer your question, yes I did a lot of research and there are many people that said the Revup airbox + K&N Drop-In + Z-tube is the best combo out there, I like mine alot.....and my Z-tube is on the way as we speak so I'll be able to elaborate a little more in a few days!

 

i have an 05 6MT and i have that Rev box with the big funnel deal.. so.. not ONLY 06's and up.. I bought mine new on July 30, 2005... as for best combo.. its all up to ur preferences cuz all of the intakes are about the same .. lil to no HP.. so.. it's pretty much all about looks and sound....

Ok I know I kinda look like a RaTard here bc of the whole Rev-Up engine always has the Rev-up airbox BUT it is NOT always the case for 2005's, check this out

Does this apply to BOTH sedans and coupes? I have a 2005 6MT sedan and am confused if I have the revup airbox with the velocity stack or not. After reading this entire thread: https://g35driver.com/forums/intake-...cial-note.html, I got kinda caught up/lost during the back and forth between two members. Just wanted to verify if my 6MT sedan already had it or not.

 

Whoaaaaa bump from the dead but just check the filter box bro. Couple clips that hold the 2 pieces of the box together then scoot that air filter aside and see if you find the velocity stack behind it
