So if I were to buy my exhaust in pieces...

Just payed for a 1/2" MD spacer, and want rims. I have a $1500 for exhaust and rims. I'd rather splurge on some rims, and save up and buy my exhaust in pieces as I get the money. Are HFCs and test pipes the same thing? So I will need test pipes, Y/X pipe, and some axleback setup. Am I missing anything? Any suggestion on the order I should buy these? I won't have the money for a CB setup, and dont really wanna save up and wait to buy one. What are my best options? I was thinking FI test pipes, I dunno about the Y/X pipe. I suppose the X will allow me to do true dual? I'm pretty much an exhaust noob. SHOW ME THE WAY OF THE JEDI.

Hey bud, thanks for buying my spacer.

As for exhaust? You can get a nice decent CB that will show nice gains for about $350 shipped from ebay.. Its the HKS replica exhaust.. Sounds great.

However, I am doing what your thread is about.

I have a stillen X pipe sitting in my room along with two stillen mid pipes with resonators. I pretty much have a Still true dual CB without the mufflers and megan racing resonated test pipes. I am going with a custom true dual exhaust.

I just bought two of these axleback babies and will complete my true dual exhaust next week!

Thats a carbon fiber muffler with real titanium tips.. Same thing as an HKS carbon ti except cheaper.. Everyone and their mothers told me not to waste my money on HKS carbon TI mufflers which were about $360 a piece.. Rather than those megan racing carbon fiber mufflers being 140 each.

If I were you I'd go with test pipes, might as well go all out instead of half way with HFC's.. Not only will you get more HP with test pipes, they are A LOT cheaper than HFC's.. As far as what brand? They're pretty much all the same.. 2 pieces of 2 foot piping.

You can't buy the stillen X pipe as is.. I actually got lucky with this.. What happened was intense power was having a clearance sale and they had a stillen exhaust listed brand new.. Went to go pick it up but there was no mufflers.. Do instead of 1200 I only paid 300 but had to find my own mufflers which I did.

Well, I've seen a muffler deal that had 2 outlets. So I could use a 370z y-pipe and find this muffler thing and maybe just do straight pipes... hahaha
