My OEM pipe rattled to the point where it was embarrassing. Not even 1 year later my m2 does the same.
I'm probably going to modify a bosal brand pipe because I don't want to lose my 3" outlet diameter... I have a 3" catback to match up to. I hope the bosal brand one is made out of better materials... It seems to be, it's not as shiny as m2's was.

Bosal makes a lot of oem parts so I would think that they could put together a quality, albiet ugly, y-pipe.

Not much hp to gain there for your specific car

Thanks. I guess little gain not worth the cost.

You should get high flow cats and a tune. A k&n drop in filter helps also from what I hear. I do not recommend the m2 y pipe for our car. I'm not sure which other ones will fit it however. There is a thread about it. I also love my lightweight pulleys, they don't require a tune!

Hey, sorry to bring this old tread up. I'm shopping for kinetix hfcs but I keep getting told that they won't fit the awd Gs. Any ideas?

I just installed kinetix HFC's on my 05x AWD at a muffler shop fit directly on, has some rasp though. But it does give it a better growl some when you start it up.

Is there a thread like this specifically for the 2nd Gen G35x?

I am trying desperately to order a Megan Y-Pipe but have no idea which model is needed, since I have heard people say that both will work? Various sites have conflicting information on this, some say it will fit AWD and others say RWD drive only. At a loss here and the manufacturer has not responded...

http://www.meganracing.com/product.asp?prodid=298 - MR-Y-N3Z-V2

http://www.meganracing.com/product.asp?prodid=1071 - MR-Y-PIPE-N7Z

Which is it?

I assume you mean the revised DE (now HR) pipe for the G35? MR-Y-N3Z-V2?

Edit: Confirmed that part# MR-Y-PIPE-N7Z is needed for Second Gen G35 vehicles, with the manufacturer.

Anyone knows if this y pipe fits the 05 G35x? Says the oulet is 3". Does outlet diameter make a difference?
