Replacement Exhaust Tips

Anyone know of any good aftermarket tips? My car was towed from my parking garage (a-holes) and the tow truck smashed my tips so that they have a nice uneven oval shape to them. I thought about replacing them with OEM tips from the dealer for $49 each, but thought Id see if anyone knew of any that might produce a different sound or look better at the least. I know there will be an issue with size since they mount right next to each other. Any suggestions?

I am thinking if you are going to spend around 100 dollars for tips, look into an after market exhaust, axel back. HKS on the forum vendor classifieds are 380 is - Spend the extra 280 and get something nice for the G. Just don't get towed again!!!

Do you have a pic? I'd like to see how they look on an 05-06.

The Altima tips are $50/pair.

+1 The 05 stock tips look a lot better than the 03's and I'm concerned the Altima tips would stick out too far.

My question to you is... is the towing company paying for your repairs? I would make them! Legally, you can sue! And claim to the insurance company you need an entirely new muffler, then buy an HKS

I'm thinking they would look alright. I measured from the muffler to the end of the stock tips and it's basically 7". The Altima tips would only stick out slightly further. I'm thinking about picking up a pair this week to see what they look like. If they look dumb I'll just sell them.

I would really like to see a pic first though.

i don't have any pictures but the tips stick out maybe an inch or two past the bumper. i think it looks good, since i bought mine used and pre-cut <$50. like you said, you could always just resell later if you don't like it

Hmm, I think an inch would look fine...two inches not so much. I'll measure again when I get home.
