the ART pipes are way out of my price range. i want significant sound difference (not too much for gains). Mostly loud over deep. So FI HFCs are the way to go??

im not trying to make it annoying loud. just a more aggressive sound thats noticeably different. i have either a g35 coupe y pipe or a mid pipe to choose from and im unsure which i should get.

coupe mid pipe and HR y, do that and see how you like it.

they can be found for cheap, I bought my HR y + coupe mid pipe for $45.

Not feeling it? Go with HFCs or the ART pipes from Motordyne.

I would suggest going in increments. Get one, listen, judge, get another, listen, judge, so on so forth.

I am confident once you've swapped the midpipe and y pipe you'll be satisfied with the result, that's just me though take it for what it's worth.

mid pipe, then HR (either order works though. they are highly sought after items so basically if you see one available for a good price get on it quick)

I just sold one to a guy in Jersey a week ago, I would've sold you mine.

Does a Coupe Midpipe make any difference on an '05+ with stock exhaust?

Also, does a Z-tube/plenum spacer affect intake noise only or does it change the exhaust note as well?
