Tanabe Hyper Medallion

Just installed my Tanabe exhaust and Y pipe. Anyone else have this set up?

How's it sound? Deep clean tone? Or loud ricey rumble?
Any droning inside the cabin?

Can you take pics or soundclip?

It looks much like the Fujitsubo. It's a little louder than I expected but I'm getting used to it. Everyone else says it sounds awesome. No droning, quiet at idle and deep when step on it.

Re: Tanabe Hyper Medallion

Is it a fart-can canister design or a regular muffler design?

If it's the regular muffler design, is it one big muffler centered like the stock muffler? Or is it 2 smaller mufflers on each side of the rear exit?

Re: Tanabe Hyper Medallion

Yeah that's the only pic I've seen also.

That's what it looks like for a generic car application with
a single muffler.

But the G35/350Z has dual outlets, so it would look drastically
different from that picture.

Any more info on this system would be appreciated. I had
a friend with this exhaust on his Integra GSR and it had a
nice deep tone to it.

Re: Tanabe Hyper Medallion

Do they sell the system without the Y-pipe?

Re: Tanabe Hyper Medallion

Yes- they sell it without the Y. It looks just like the Fuji. One transverse canister and 2 big tips.

I've decided after a week to sell it and buy a Fuji. A little too aggressive for this just turned 40 year old. Pics are in the Classifieds.
