Got an auto 06 sedan with iebac springs and forged 19's. Looks clean and handles a little better, but want to help out the motor a little. Its an everyday driver that hasn't been touched in 70k miles. What is the best way to go for intake and exhaust (no heavy drone) at highway speeds. Looking for any suggestions that wont break the bank and give it a little better performance. Would also like to know where a good place to take this car in Houston, Tx. I visited SGP racing right before they shut down but didn't get a good feeling. If you werent' going to spend 12 grand and leave your car for a month they weren't the place to go.

Z Tube / K&N Drop in Filter.

Exhaust is up to you.

There are many companies that make good systems.

Samco induction hose, 3in" MAF housing from GTM, and ported OEM 06 350Z airbox. Hands down, best intake setup. Recognize...

I can also sell you my borla TD exhaust and Berk HFCs. On top of that, a tune would do you well.

How many miles are on the exhaust and how much do you want for it. New is right around 950.00 less installation.

About 10k. 700+shipping. Unless you're local. I'm in NJ. Can provide pics upon request.

Not local...so that might be the deal breaker. I am still looking for a good shop in Houston, TX to do the tune and intake stuff. Thanks for the help. How much more expensive is your intake system then a K&N drop in filter and z tube if you happen to know off hand. (horsepower per dollar justifiable?)

Maybe could do a little better on the price. The Samco is about 130. The OEM airbox is prob about 50 or 60 from my350z. The 3in MAF is about 130 too. About 350 or so. Def worth it in the long run especially if you add any exhaust components or build your motor. You'll probably pick up a legit 20whp with it.

Also, Motordyne's 5/16th spacer should help you gain another 10whp too. That is about 200-250 i think.

You should be able to find all of those used, except for maybe the 3in MAF, so you could probably do everything there for about 600. The install wouldn't be too bad either. The intake side of the engine is definitely more restrictive than the exhaust.

+1 on the spacer, great mod for the price, you won't get as much HP as advertised but it does provide noticeable HP.

You really need to get a tune to take advantage of the better airflow, though. Look into Osiris UpRev. They are based somewhere in Tx, too.

Thanks a bunch. This is real helpful. I'm glad you said the intake is more restrictive than than the exhaust. I think i will look around for your recommendations and then add the borla exhaust possibly later (i heard its the best exhaust for performance that won't drive you out of the car.) Iam just yearning to hear an exhaust leak.

If anybody out there knows of a place or somebody in Houston that does this work let me know. I have been striking out.
Thanks again.

Curious. How did you get a 06 350z airbox to fit a G35? What is a "ported airbox"? YOu have pictures of this? Thanks

5/16 spacer, 3/8" spacer or crawford V5 plenum, high flow cats and some type of catback (not too necessary on the catback). Plus an Osris tune would be the best bang.
