Exhaust help - G35x
I'm looking for some help picking an exhaust for the 05 G35x. I'm literally going crazy trying to find something that fits and isn't crazy expensive. So far the only exhaust that for sure fit the X is the Stillen Gen 2, or the Top Speed Pro. Both extremes. Plus from the clips, I do not really like the Stillen sound, and the price kind of makes me stay away especially if I end up not liking the sound... The Top Speed is sold out everywhere anyway, and I'm a bit worried bout quality. Although I like the sound alot, any one have any experience with that one? All the other exhaust either some say fit, and other say wont. Most manufacturers don't even know, I've called alot. I really like the Borla but that doesn't fit forsure.
So I'm looking for some help to find a exhaust that people now fit the X, and actually sounds good. I'm looking for something thats pretty loud and aggressive sounding.
Thanks in advance,
Alex

You might look at the HKS muffler. It's a great looking piece that sounds good as well. Beware it does cause some drone.

I've actually looked into the HKS but it seems like you have to pair it up with some many things, that it kind of confuses me. I know some people pair it with the coupe middy, but then would I also need to get a Y-Pipe to connect it all up. Anything else I would need? I'm not sure if exactly what it needs and what all the parts do really so I was staying away.
im looking at exhaust too. I was considering removing the muffler and running pipe from the axle and back because it sounds amazing. or getting a new Y-pipe, Coupe middy, and a sebring muffler which sound great as well.

HKS Muffler + Coupe Middy = $400

I have an awd and i didnt feel any difference other than sound when I installed my HR y-pipe. Reason being AWD y-pipes are similar to the HR y-pipe. You will benefit more if you are a RWD. As for aftermarket, there is currently no known aftermarket y-pipe that fits the X.
