Hey guys, just got my 2003 G last week. Absolutely loving the car! This is my daily driver so I'm trying to stay away from too much modding but I have a feeling it's going to get the best of me.

Anyway - here are some pics of my friday afternoon project. A few of my local Z buddies have done this so I thought I'd give it a go with the G. I searched for a while on here and couldn't find any pics of a bumper tuck with polished exhaust so here ya go:

I found a few threads on here on how to polish the muffler but I can't seem to find them.

Basically I just sprayed aircraft remover all over the muffler and then used a wire wheel to take all of the black paint off. After that I wet sanded with 250, 400, 600, 800, and 1500. Once I sanded I used some rubbing compound and a buffer. Then followed that up with a polishing wheel and some polish.

I've seen people hand buff and polish as well with great results.

 

what is a "bumper tuck" ?

Bumper tuck is when you fold the part of the bumper in between the exhaust tips.
