ART pipe install questions?

Well, as for my update....

My buddy ended up not showing up to help out. So I took on the task myself. Jacked the car up to 14" in my driveway, placed the jack stands, and got to work. I initially was trying to remove the underside bots with a small socket wrench,OMG that is a full body workout trying to remove a simple bolt while laying on the ground inches from the car, unable to contort your body for leverage.
I then came to my senses and told my g/f to hand me my large torque wrench. I was handed the in-lb. torque wrench(3/8" drive) and thought, Meh this will do. SNap!! I broke that bish off and busted a pinky. Once I moved to the ft.-lb torque wrench( 1/2" drive) the bolts were relatively easy to remove. I easily removed the upper two bolts that connect the cats to the headers.
There is another bolt on each cat/header that can only be accessed from the underside of the car, how the hell do I remove these? I need some kind of bending socket, or a dremel to cut some of the stock-cat away to make room for a wrench.

I found this video last night after giving up for the night. If you watch the video from 5:10 - 5:18 they show the upper stud/nut and the lower bolt on the header/cats.
I now know that I will need to unbolt the lower bolts somehow and then unbolt the y-pipe from the extensions and I should be able to drop the cats.

I just hope my help shows up tonight!

If I am missing something obvious, or anyone has any tips not covered in the video, I'd love to hear it!

DISCLAIMER: Keep in mind I am a total Noob, but I choose to do these mods to learn about my car and gain knowledge. It's fun (when it's all over!)

First NEVER use a torque wrench as a breaker bar to break bolts loose. It is a precision instrument and you just messed up the accuracy on the inch-lb one at the very least, and possibly your ft-lb one as well.

Second to get to the lower bolt you need a socket wrench, socket and extension similar to what they used. For the others, you can see the length of extensions they put on their breaker bar to make it easier. That is unnecessary but I am sure it made it easy for them. Another substitute could be a ratcheting wrench and a lot of patience.

Just use an extension or a combination of extensions. That nut breaks loose just like the top nuts. If you still have trouble, get a swivel.

I broke the in-lb. driver right off! Nvm the accuracy, it's a goner!
Ohh well, it was the Harbor Freight special.

That is a good idea actually, provided I can get enough torque from it to break that bolt loose..

The trouble bolts are kind of hard to describe based off of the video because the video is of an hr z. My DE G35 is a little different.

I use a set of 3 or 4 extensions that are 8" long. It makes it 100X easier. I wouldn't recommend any other route.
