Just installed Kinetix resonated test pipes (videos)
Like the title says, I just installed some Kinetix resonated test pipes this weekend. I am quite pleased with the sound so far. I have a mysterious rattle and a slight exhaust leak to pinpoint, but I really love the sound. I debated on going with a catback, but I love the sound and tone of the stock G35 exhaust. I just wanted it to be a bit louder. These seem to fit the bill and I haven't really noticed much rasp if any, so the resonators seem to be doing their job. I used the anti-fouler trick to prevent throwing a CEL, and it has worked thus far flawlessly (little over 100 miles on it since install).
Mod list currently is:
- Injen CAI
- MREV2
- 5/16" iso-thermal spacer
- Kinetix resonated test pipes
- HR y-pipe
- 2 degree timing advance
Drive-by video:
Revving in driveway:
Car went a best of 13.79 @ 103.5mph on a 2.15 60ft with just a Popcharger/Ztube, HR y-pipe and heavy winter wheels with Blizzaks. Now with the additional mods, I'm shooting for a 13.4-13.5 @ 104-105mph on a 2.0 60ft in the fall.
