Heres my opinion. STOP MAKING THREADS ON THE SAME SUBJECT. You have 15 posts and i think 14 of them are your intial intro to the thread.

I had the same delima 6 months ago. I love my stock sound but, hated the look of the muffler can. Also wanted to boost performance at the same time without spending a lot of money and not wanting a ricey sound. So I first installed the K & N drop in filter and oem z-tube combo. It took about 2 months it seemed for the computer to adjust. I didn't feel any gains of course but, it did sound more aggressive and a bit louder at 3000 rpm. Shortly after that mod I did a lot of research and heard all of the clips on youtube and really liked the look and sound of the Apexi Ws2. I also installed a Megan racing y-pipe and love this setup. I have an 04 carribbean blue coupe. I now can feel the difference in torque and in the exhaust note. I'll try to post a picture and sound clip. Very happy, to me it's like stock on steriods. Exhaust cost 700 y-pipe 150.

I don't see how you wanting to do a budget mod on your car and not precisely searching and reading the forums is urgent.

But I will tell you this, unnecessary budget modding will get you nowhere on this forum, except ridicule and flames from members here. On top of looks of disgust and shocks of awe when you are driving around your city.

If you can't afford an actual exhaust, whether it be true dual or not, I would just save your money and get something else. If you spend money on a budget mod and then you don't like it, you'll spend more money on trying to rectify that problem / issue and then you'll be in the hole anyway. If you wanted something to make your exhaust "louder," I would recommend the Nismo exhaust to you, but you probably can't afford it since you're asking for a cheap way to make it louder.

So my advice, save up if you can't afford the mod. If you can't afford mods on your G, then you obviously have purchased the wrong car. Its not cheap to mod this car properly, you will be spending a good amount of money to do it right... or you can spend less money and make your car look and sound like ****.

If that sounds harsh, I apologize. BJ Penn just lost for the 2nd straight time and failed to regain his title back because of his lack of focus and determination, on top of being outmatched and struck by Frankie Edgar... so I'm in a very foul mood.

considering you want cheap. i suggest you just take off the exhaust. that makes it a lot louder. and it won't cost you anything!

The cheapest solution would probably be test pipes but those lead to other issues altogether.

This is the wrong car to cheap out on with mods as some people have already said. Do it right, save your money, and get quality parts when you can afford them. This ain't no Honda!!

i agree, if your going to mod, mod it right. i came from bmws so some of the things to mod on this car are a BIT cheaper but some are even more expensive like exhaust.

i could find a nice one for the bmw for 7-8 hundred but for this car i havent seen any for anything near that. you could just keep it simple and do a drop in air filter, some tint or a spacer and spend half as much as it would cost to do exhaust (probably less than half actually)
