It really is difficult to decipher exhaust notes on Youtube. Some of them sound like riced out fart cans that pop at every instance.

I like the stock exhaust note. Maybe I can find an exhaust is very similar to that but flows a bit better. Also don't want to get raspyness, might have to avoid the test pipe for now.

i have Borla cat-back, its like the stock sound but with more of a bass deep sound, gets loud/throaty after 3500RPM which is very nice and is alot more flow than stock

i did different clips of it and as long as u have bass on your speakers you can hear the deep tone of it i loveeeee it

Honestly the Greddy and Stillen exhausts all sound very nice, they are a little more of a raspy sound but still sound great.
Most exhaust upgrades are gonna sound louder than stock for sure

There are def better Exhausts out there with better Performance, Airflow,
Sound, Build Quality, and Looks.

If 800$ is your max budget get a used HKS. I've seen a few FS
in the marketplace.

for sure if you want performance gains you have to get a full cat-back, axle back is mostly just sound

I think nismo and stillen are the two people claim sound the most like stock, but louder. Also you can throw a set of hfc's on there to deepen the sound and make it louder. If you dont like rasp forget test pipes.

For real though you need to start using the search or putting these in the right section.

You can't tell what an exhaust system sounds like on line, you need to hear them in person. Which means you need to attend a few meets so you can hear the sound yourself not thru someone's funky recording system. Hope you haven't ordered anything yet cause your choice is not good....

OP, you need to really start searching more often. 5 threads made with only 12 posts already isn't a good indicator of independent thought .

I've always liked the sound of Tanabe exhausts on my cars. For one of my RL's I made a custom exhaust with the Medalion touring muffler, and it sounds great still!
There's a few G clips of the Sedan and Coupe on this page... check it out.
