berk hfc + xyz/straightpipe vs art pipe + xyz/hfcpipe

Hello!

For starters I've pretty much decided that a full hfc + catback exhaust system would be too loud for my tastes. So basically I was considering getting a little more power in the form of either a nice cat back exhaust with the stock cats, or hfc's with an after market y pipe with the rest of the system stock.

Does anyone have any experience running either of the following:

1)berk hfc + xyz/straightpipe -> ypipe back stock
2)art pipe + xyz/hfcpipe -> ypipe back stock

Any advantages or disadvantages of either that you could think of would be helpful!

Thanks,
James

I have testpipes + XYZ pipe + resonator attached to stock muffler. It's not much louder than stock.

I put down like 265whp, it was a very noticeable bump in power. Here's a link to that dyno.

Have you thought of removing the resonator and replacing it with the straight pipe module to make it louder?

I tried using testpipes with stock ypipe and it was pretty rasptastic. It sounded OK when there was no load on the motor, but the instant there was a load on the motor the angry bees came out to play! That's why I bought an xyz pipe and threw an HFC on it, but after I bought the resonator from jayk I've been using that.

If you're looking for best performance, #2 is the way to go. The difference in power between the hfc module and the straight pipe module is minimal, but the ART pipes are wayyyyyy better than any HFC.

i am running the berk hfc's with the motordyne xyz pipe. it actually sounds kinda raspy but the exhaust tone is just slightly deeper. but yes the art pipes are supposed to be top notch!
