A lower-grade, but thick walled stainless steel. It does rust a bit, but it is stainless.

If you have an 03/04 sedan, your mid-pipe is made out of lead, concrete and old boat anchors

Kidding aside, the stupid thing is 35lb!!! for reference, a coupe middy is 10lb

The sedan is still lighter than the coupe somehow. I think they tossed a few anchors in the coupes to make up for the midpipe.

Ok, so yes, it's off topic, but I wonder if anyone that's done the swap has weighed the coupe seats vs the sedan seats

New here...just got an 07 G35S sedan today as a work car...but I have modified everything I have ever driven...and won't drive a stock car for work either!
LOL
Sooo dark tint will be done next week, I got some K&N drop in filters just now, swapping all fluids to Mobil1 full synthetic immediately...AND finally the MOST important:

WHAT can I do (simple) that will get more of the coupe sound out of the sedan exhaust???
I saw somewhere that swapping the midpipe to a coupe one makes it about 10-15% louder which is all I am really looking for...I will drive this car about 2000 miles a month and don't want rasp, loud or problems OR to spend $1000 on an exhaust for a car I will only be in for a year to 18 mos.

So, anyone? Will the midpipe swap WORK? If so, where can I get one without too much cost?
Thanks!

^You'll have better luck asking on the 2nd Gen sedan section. This area is 1st gen (03-06)

Welcome to the forum though, and enjoy your stay

Judging by the thickness and make up of the coupe seats, they look to be made of whole cows. Just sayin'.
