cold air intake

hey guys I don't think I have posted on this forum questions about CAI's, but I wanted to see what you guys have to offer for info. I posted on the other forum I go to and we talked about injen, stillen gen 2, and JWT. but no one had anything really good to say for the G35X sedan mostly people posted for the coupe. I want something that is not going to hydrolock, heatsoak, and increase sound and HP. Any ideas?

This is the #1 question you should never ask on this forum. And certainly never create a new thread about it!

If you MUST ask, please do it here: https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sed...on-thread.html

Why not create a new thread isn't that what this site is all about? Do I have the wrong page for questions like this?

Ok. I'm in an oddly nice mood, so I'm going to humor you for just a sec.

Think about those "other forums" for just a sec. Now, you know that ONE question on every forum (regardless of context) that some n00b will ask, that's already been asked and answered 10,000 times before, so much to the point that it's either a joke among the long-time members, or stickied as a "DO NOT ASK THIS QUESTION" ???

Well guess what.... you just asked that question.

You could have easily found both the answer to your questions, as well as ample reason that asking said question was a bad idea, if you would have simply searched for two seconds or read the stickies.

You should also know that you can receive an infraction for rehashing questions that have been covered hundreds of times already.

Not trying to be mean or anything, this has just become a real problem on this site.

I did review the site an I have done a ton of research but the thing is all the answers I have read are for the coupe not the sedan x
Plus their are new gens of cai that have come out like the rs2 an gen 3 from stillen which didn't have a ton of info on this forum. But after talking to company reps I wanted here what the guys driving this car had to say and I thought I would start a frwsh thread since not everyone responds to old pages. If I'm not welcome here I am happyu to be on my the guys on the other forum appear to be much nicer!

Dude, don't get butthurt (n00b reaction #2) it's not going to help anything.

All the research you did for the coupe applies to the sedan, they're the same drivetrain, same engine, they're practically the same car. But you're making everyone doubt your research just by that statement alone.

If you had done enough research on the subject, you should have already known that when it comes to intakes coupe = sedan.

Maybe they should be doubting you since that's not true the coupe has a single intake and the sedan has duel plus the shape is different so the placement of cai is different increasing chance of hydrolock plus some have had no increase hp on sedan bit others have reported hp increase with same company on coupe!
