Z Tube= Power loss.
Z Tube= Power loss.
I installed a Z tube (reset ecu) and noticed the big difference in sound and a noticeable difference when I punch it at about 65-70. On the other hand my car no longer jumps when I punch it at about 25-30. Seems like it doesn't drop down a gear and go like it used to.
I switched it back to OEM tube (reset ecu again) and it gained my jump but lost the pull at 65-70.
Does anybody know how I can keep my Z tube on and get back that low end jump? Thanks for your help.

I wouldn't imagine it would change but it doesn't down shift and take off like it did with the OEM tube. I DID unplug the battery when I put the Ztube in but I did the gas pedal reset when I put the Ztube back on. Same results. I swapped them out a couple of times with the same results.
I thought it was in my head too but after swapping them out.. I decided to see what you all thought. Looks like I will have to start shifting manually.
i think with ecu reset, you gotta put on some miles before the ecu get optimal...plus it's a z-tube..with 1,200+ posts, i think you should know enough about intakes gains to not let this get to your head.
Yep, I did my searches with nothing conclusive. I wasn't sure if anyone else had this problem and if there was a simple remedy for it.
Didn't really notice that much of a difference when I got mine, and wasn't expecting to. I just loved that growl when paired with the pop charger lol.
Your pretty much just changing the intake note.
